New and modern technologies already make it possible to perform surgeries in day-care facility that previously required longer hospital stays.

Private Clinic Ģimenes veselība has a fully equipped operating theatre for a wide range of surgeries:

• diagnostic abrasion of the uterine cavity and cervix,
• removal of the uterine cavity and cervix polyps,
• ultrasound-guided early termination of pregnancy by vacuum aspiration,
• intrauterine spiral insertion and removal under anaesthesia;
• hysterosalpingography – tubal patency examination in case of infertility;
• hysteresectoscopy; diagnostic hysteroscopy – a procedure involving examination of the uterine cavity with an optical instrument called a hysteroscope;
• phlebologic surgeries.

|This technique allows to detect a wide range of uterine abnormalities and specify the diagnosis in case of unclear ultrasound findings.

The day-care facility of the Private Clinic Ģimenes veselība is the only one in Latgale where hysterorectoscopy is performed. General anaesthesia is used during surgery, which is performed by an anaesthesiologist. The patient rests in a comfortable semi-private room after surgery.
